A Dumbbell Workout Program

Want to incorporate a dumbbell workout program into your exercise routine?  Here are some tips to help:

If you work all day sitting at a computer, you may want to take out your dumbbells and just take a five minute break; raise and lower your arms at the elbow, using 5 lb. weights.
  
Hold a weight in each hand with arms outstretched, then slowly raise and lower your arms about ten repetitions.

Interestingly enough, these exercises will not only tone your arms but will also reduce thickness surrounding the veins in your arms, thus allowing for easy blood tests.  This exercise was recommended by a nurse.

Another common exercise is to bend at the waist and with the dumbbell in one hand, lift parallel to your waist.
